Introducing: Bernd Reisenauer, your "Skibuddy" in customer service

If it’s your first time communicating with ORIGINAL+, chances are you’ll be talking to Bernd Reisenauer.

Born in Upper Austria, Bernd was a mountain enthusiast from an early age, spending as much time as possible skiing. It was clear to him early on that his career had to involve skiing in some way! After spending several years introducing the world’s best sport to skiers of all ages, Bernd finally found his dream position in the ski industry at ORIGINAL+.

It’s immediately clear that Bernd is completely at home in his role in sales, distribution, and customer service. His goal: to sell the best, highest-quality skis for you on the market and offer the best customer service in the industry. Bernd takes the time to address each customer's individual questions, wishes, and needs—just as it should be when skiing enjoyment is taken seriously. At ORIGINAL+, you don’t just get custom skis; you also receive genuinely personalized customer service.

In the spotlight: Bernd Reisenauer, our sales, distribution, and customer service specialist

Since summer 2021, Bernd has been responsible for sales, distribution, and customer service at ORIGINAL+. In this interview, he reveals more about himself and his role at ORIGINAL+:

O+: How did you come to work for ORIGINAL+?
Bernd: My greatest wish after finishing my studies was to work in the ski industry. I had already heard of ORIGINAL+ from ski tests and advertisements and was highly impressed by both the product and the company. When I was job hunting, a friend suggested, "Why not apply at ORIGINAL+?" I did, and here I am! ;)

What do you like about ORIGINAL+?
The skier is at the center of the ski-making process. Before, this level of customization was only available to World Cup athletes. With cool designs and precise tailoring of skis to skiing ability, preferences, and body measurements, every ski is unique and truly special. Now anyone can create their perfect ski.

What does skiing mean to you personally?
Skiing is my greatest hobby, and during my part-time studies, I was lucky enough to turn it into a profession. As a ski instructor, I spent almost every day on the slopes, teaching both young and old the best sport in the world. There’s nothing better than making the first tracks in the snow early in the morning or having fun in deep powder off-piste.

Do you have a skiing hero? If so, who and why?
Felix Neureuther. He’s a very likeable and exceptionally fair sportsman who fought his way back to the top of the world despite numerous injuries and setbacks.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Engaging directly with costumers who have a clear vision of their goals.

Is there something you do every day that you didn’t expect to be part of your job?
Sublimating surfaces 😉.

What are your hopes for this winter season?
An excellent season for us and a great winter with plenty of snow.
